Work From Home Style: 18 Outfit Ideas

I know a lot of you are working from home for the first time and are struggling with what to wear! It's easy to roll out of bed and continue wearing the same thing all day and into the night (been there, done that)—but it doesn't always leave us feeling our best.

We want to be comfortable in our clothes but also feel put-together, and that’s where a little morning routine comes in handy. It doesn't have to be grand, and it doesn't have to take up an hour or more of your morning (but bonus points if it does because you deserve it).

When you're chilly tired in the morning, you likely tell yourself you want to put on the warmest, most comfortable clothes you have—sweats or leggings. I can relate! But instead of doing that, what if you reached for your slip dress, oversized cardigan and fuzzy socks? Items that are just as comfortable, but maybe a little out of your comfort zone?

Today I did just that. I got out of my PJs and into the look on the left, I went downstairs and made a coffee, but instead of getting my laptop out right away, I made a point to enjoy that coffee and curl my hair. Seems simple, but it made a huge impact on how I felt today.

Then I decided to style a bunch of "work from home" outfits to share with you all in a blog post tomorrow, and after styling over 10, I ended up in the look on the left. And you know what? I feel just as great in both.

✨ if you really want to wear sweatpants or leggings but you typically feel frumpy in them, try making a point to do your hair or makeup or both, and put on some jewelry (if your children won't get at it).

✨ if you really don't want to do your hair or makeup and still want to feel put-together, focus on putting together an outfit that you feel great in.

Getting Dressed When You Work From Home
